Stockport, Cheshire, Railway Viaduct

Stockport, Cheshire, Railway Viaduct
This is the largest brick built structure in Western Europe & it was officially opened on 4 June 1840. It was designed by George Watson Buck for the Manchester & Birmingham Railway and completed in 1840. The Viaduct is 111.1 ft (33.85m) High. At the time of it’s construction it was the largest Viaduct in the World & represents a major feat of Victorian Engineering. The 27 arch viaduct took 21 months to build and cost £70,000, 11,000,000 bricks were used in it’s construction.
This is a Fine Art Giclee print from my Original Watercolor.
Printed onto an archival acid-free heavy weight, textured paper using archival inks.
A Giclee print renders deep, saturated colours and has an exceptional quality that retains minute detail, subtle tints and blends that are created in a water colour painting.
